Experience the Language Barrier
Spectrum Social is a free, interactive community workshop that helps people explore autistic communication, sensory processing, and behavior from a different perspective.
It is not a lecture. Participants learn by taking part, noticing what changes when familiar rules stop working, and talking through what happened together.
What Happens at Spectrum Social
Guided activities may include:

Sensory Overload
Explore what changes when the nervous system is carrying too much.

Communication Barrier
Notice how quickly uncertainty grows when familiar communication stops working.

Signal vs. Noise
Experience how competing input can make the important message harder to find.

Different Frequencies
Consider how people can share one space while processing it in very different ways.

Behavior Has a Backstory
Look beyond the visible action and ask what may be happening underneath.
Activities may vary based on the audience and setting. The purpose is to make hidden barriers easier to recognize and give people a practical way to understand what they may be seeing in real life.

Why It Matters
A person's behavior is often judged before anyone asks what may be causing it.
Spectrum Social slows that moment down. It creates space to examine communication barriers, sensory demands, missing context, and the assumptions people bring into an interaction.
